Description
This presentation focuses on building a cybersecurity culture within organizations. Kip Boyle will explore the importance of shifting from solely technical security measures to a culture where all employees are engaged in protecting the company’s assets. Boyle emphasizes that cybersecurity is not just about technology but about people and their actions to prevent threats.
The session highlights practical strategies to improve cybersecurity, such as fostering role-appropriate behaviors and encouraging proactive involvement from all staff members. Supervisors play a key role in shaping culture, with the ability to lead by example, reward good practices, and address lapses in behavior. The session also draws on real-world examples, like Liberty Mutual Insurance’s success in integrating cybersecurity into daily operations, showing how a collective effort across departments can make a difference.
Attendees will leave understanding how to initiate cultural changes in their organizations, set expectations, and use measurable results to ensure everyone shares responsibility for cybersecurity. The goal is to make cybersecurity a shared value, crucial for the protection of an organization’s reputation, finances, and overall success.
