How Do You Optimize Your Technology Choices for Security in a Resource Constrained World

Speaker: Doug Cavit, CISO, Containn

Thursday, February 15th, 2018, 6:30 PM

Event Summary

We are faced today with an ever-expanding set of choices for technologies to invest in with the promise to better secure our key digital assets. The first question everyone should ask before making this choice is probably “what are my key digital assets?” When you dig into that question deeply it can lead you to better ways to apply technology and invest limited resources. There is no “one size fits all” and making these choices is hard. My talk will focus on examples of how to ask the right questions, where other companies have had interesting payoffs on not so obvious security technologies and how to optimize your organization’s security. This talk will be an interactive session with a focus on practical solutions.

In addition, someone will lead an analysis of the most recent news and discuss how cyber attackers continue to evolve during his monthly Garden Fresh presentation. In this presentation, we will explore the trends that define today’s threat landscape such as recent cyber attacks, intelligence-led insights, and advanced defensive strategies.
